Humble beginnings
Sharifah Nur Diyana, who runs the Melur
& Thyme Restaurant, got obsessed with
duck dishes when she studied in London.
She tried a halal
Peking duck
dish near
Bayswater, London and simply loved it.
After much discussion with her mum,
she decided to go with her idea and
opened her first outlet, Duck & Such,
at the Hartamas Shopping Centre at Sri
Hartamas.
Suria KLCCwas her next targeted loca-
tion to get a bigger and wider clientele.
With that in mind, she rebranded Duck
& Such to Melur & Thyme (M&T), added
more variety to the menu and moved the
whole idea into KLCC.
Interior
Melur & Thyme’s interior boasts of an
understated exclusivity coupled with
artsy elements. Sticking to white, black
and dark brown colours for the interior,
Melur & Thyme oozes a nostalgic charm
mixed with a modern bistro like setting.
