If you are an adventurous soul, test your
mettle by climbing up to the top of the
824-metre highMount Angsi. It is just one
of a few other popular mountain-climbing
spots in Negeri Sembilan includingMount
Datuk and Mount Telapak Buruk. Mount
Angsi is located in Tanjung Ipoh and the
climb to the top takes about four hours,
following a 4.5 kilometre trail along
Batang Terachi River.
Embrace the nature of Ulu Bendul
Forest Reserve and once you are done
there, cool off by splashing in the nearby
waterfall. Ulu Bendul is also known as a
popular spot among picnickers and travel-
ers stopping by for rest especially those
taking the Kuala Pilah-Seremban road.
Located just 32 kilometres fromSerem-
ban, Port Dickson has made a name for
itself with its picturesque views as well as
by being the nearest beach from the city
centre. Historically, Port Dickson town
used to produce charcoal before being
developed into a small port by the British
during the Straits Settlement period. Back
then, it was known as Tanjung by the
locals, which is a Malay word for ‘cape’.
PD as it is fondly known by the locals,
was transformed into a holiday spot with
construction of numerous hotels and
resorts in the nineties. Unfortunately,
during Asian financial crisis in 1997, a
lot of projects were stalled leaving behind
unfinished and abandoned buildings
along Port Dickson’s coastline.

unfinished buildings finally revived and

and the local authority have also taken
