Lumpur, presents a new
jazz orchestra consisting of
upcoming musicians from
all over Asia. It provides
an opportunity for aspiring
musicians to participate in
rehearsal camps in Tokyo
and at concerts throughout
Asia. The Asian Youth Jazz
Orchestra is also a platform
for young musicians to
collaborate with others to
pursue future possibilities of
creating newmusic in Asia.

The Malaysian Open Kuala Lumpur

ebrates its seventh anniversary this year
and tennis fans across the country are
in for excitement and thrills, as three of
the world’s top-ten players confirm their
participation. Once again, the specially
built indoor courts at Putra Stadium, Bukit
Jalil, will be the host venue for the US$
1,041,540 ATP 250 tournament.

and multi-awarded Odissi artist), Harith
Iskander (Asia’s best stand-up comedian
and the “godfather” of stand-up comedy
in Malaysia), Michael Veerapen (one of
leading Asia’s jazz musicians), as well
as Pusaka which, since 2002 and led by
Eddin Khoo, works intimately with the
most distinguished traditional performers
in the region to revitalize their living
