WorldArmwrestling Federation
(WAF)
is the official body that governs the sport,
with 67 countries registered as members
and it organises the world championship
annually. The event will last for 10 days,
featuring more than 5 categories with
different weight classes and is set to
attract more that 1,500 participants from
all over the world. Malaysia won the bid
to become the host city for the

Armwrestling Championship
this year and
will be the second Asian nation since 2005
to host this event.

Sarawak Regatta

Sarawak Regatta
is a popular event in
Kuching featuring traditional longboat
races. These longboats are decorated
with colourful designs and are of differ-
ing lengths, with some having up to 30
paddlers and others with just a few. The
practice dates back to the 1800s and was
intended to put an end to the warring of
the local tribes.
