The artist who lives and works near
nature in Selangor, Kuala Lumpur profess-
es an innate attachment to the soil and
gardening. “I like to plant. It disheartens
me to see barren land, even if its just a
small patch. I will fill it with plants. I look
at farming and gardening as a metaphor
for life.” Fromhis observations of nature’s
cycle of life, seeing how plants grow out
from the tiny seeds he plants within the
soil, he is reminded of the elements that
supports life around him. It has made him
acutely aware to be mindful of our actions
towards nature and its implications to our
surroundings.
