University
students have been called
upon to join
Red Bull Can You Make
It? 2016.
Teams of students will have to
cover more than 1,000 kilometres/miles
in one week before reaching the final
destination, using nothing but Red Bull
cans as currency.
On April 12, 2016, the 165 selected
teams of students will depart from one
of the five Starting Points in Europe –
Barcelona, Florence, Berlin, Edinburgh
or Prague. Each teamwill hand over their
cash, cards and personal phones and

opens Jan 21
The
inaugural edition of
Singapore
Contemporary
will be held from
Jan 21 to 24, 2016, at the Suntec
Singapore Convention & Exhibition
Centre. The Show’s theme is
‘A
World of Art,’
with exhibitors and
artworks from Singapore, most
Asian countries, Australia and
Europe.
Singapore Contempo-
rary
presents a wide selection of
interesting artworks from some of
the world’s most recognised and
successful contemporary artists with
strong track records at auction, and
a presence in notable private and
public collections. The focus carries
through to emerging and mid-career
artists who are achieving a following
on the international scene, and
many with investment potential for
the future.
Dubai welcomes first ever
mega familiarisation
tour from Malaysia
Dubai
welcomed its first ever mega
familiarisation trip from Malaysia, of-
fering select participants an opportunity
to get a first-hand experience of the
remarkable city.
Jointly hosted by Dubai’s Department
of Tourism and Commerce Marketing
(Dubai Tourism) and Emirates Airline,
the tour ran from Nov 19-23, 2015.
More than 60 frontline agents from
both top-tier business events and leisure
operators were selected to join the four-
day itinerary showcasing what Dubai
has to offer as a world-class business
and leisure destination.
Issam Kazim, CEO of Dubai Tourism,
said, “Malaysia is one of our key source
markets in the Far East region, thanks
to the close linkages between Malaysia
and the United Arab Emirates. In 2014,
46,000 Malaysians visited Dubai, and we
hope to welcome many more in the years
to come. The frontline agents, who are
the primary contact points for Malaysian
travellers had the chance to see Dubai
in person this week and shared their
unforgettable experiences with their
customers once they return home.”
Alongside the familiarisation tour, an
incentive campaign will be launched to
encourage the participating agents to
showcase Dubai to customers. Spon-
sored by Dubai Tourism and Emirates
Airline, two trips to Dubai will be given
away to two winners who prove to be
the best performers in terms of Dubai
packages sold. To encourage more
participants to share their Dubai travel
experiences, those agents who earn the
highest number of likes on their Dubai
social media posts will also be awarded
prizes.

a place to sleep and transportation to
the next location. Score is based on the
Checkpoint Challenges, Adventure List
tasks and Social Following achieved.
This means that competing teams will
be making their way to each Checkpoint
located all over the European cities,
completing as many tasks as they can
from their Adventure List and posting
photos and videos to build the support
of their followers!
Anyone interested in applying will
need to gather a team of three friends
and create a one-minute long video
explaining why their team deserves to
be chosen before submitting it at
