Breakfast Around The World
Malaysia is unique in the sense that there is such a variety of food fromthe three
cultures that live in the country.The choices for breakfast are as astounding as they are
mouth-watering.
Fireflyz
looks at the different dishes that are served for breakfast in
other parts of theworld.
COLOMBIA:
The arepa is
the main breakfast dish in
Colombia. This is a dense,
slightly sweet corn cake
that is either served simply
with butter or topped with
eggs, meat or jam.
CHINA:
The population of China
currently sits at around 1.4 billion
people, spread over various
regions. Traditional breakfasts
vary by region in this county but
the combination of fried dough
sticks, known as you tiao, and
warm soy milk is beloved by
millions here. The other more
popular breakfast options are dim
sum and hot soups like congee.
ENGLAND:
The British love their
English breakfast, also known as
a Fry Up or The Full English. This
calorie-packed, highly fortifying
breakfast includes eggs, sausage,
bacon, beans, mushrooms, and a
cooked tomato or hash browns.
Additional items are black or
white pudding (made from pig’s
blood) and fried bread.
