night, which is an essential part of Hong
Kong’s dining culture, where one can
find delicacies with a mix of “East meets
West” style. The name literally means
“tea restaurant” in Cantonese. The hotel
presented the iconic Hong Kong Style
Milk Tea, with specially crafted cocktails
during “BeverageRitual”. Guests indulged
their palate with a range of Cha Chaan
Teng inspired canapés, including Freshly
Toasted Pineapple Bun with Hard Salted
Butter and Freshly Toasted Crispy Bun
with Sweet Condensed Milk and Choco-
late Sauce.

Malaysian actress/host, Nana Mahazan to discuss women’s role in society through

An Imperial Rebirth of The Peninsula Beijing
The
newlyunveiled renovationofThePeninsulaBeijingmarks the latest chapter in
TheHongkongandShanghai Hotels’ (HSH) long traditionof hospitalityexcellence
in China. The RMB890 million renovation was conceived in 2013 by celebrated
HongKong designer, and long-termPeninsula collaborator, HenryLeungof CAP
Atelier. The Peninsula property in China’s capital will be unveiling the stunning
new designs of The Lobby, public spaces and new dining concepts, while the
hotel’s original 525 rooms and suites have been reduced and reimagined to
just 230 suite-style rooms, each offering a separate bedroom, living room,
bathroom and cloakroom. Starting at 65 square metres, the guestrooms are
now the largest in Beijing, and among the most spacious in China. The new and
improved Peninsula Beijing remains mindful of preserving local heritage, culture
and traditions. By reviving imperial Chinese architecture, design and artisanal
expertise from across the centuries, combined with modern Chinese art and
proprietary Peninsula technology and service, The Peninsula Beijing upholds
China’s noble traditions of artisanship and innovation, providing guests with an
authentic sense of destination.
