Paolo Di Canio
As a player, Di Canio wasn’t a very likable person. An
outspoken and unapologetic fascist, he was never popu-
lar in Sunderland as a manager. With players leading
a mutiny call for his resignation, a dreadful start to the
2013 season and a dressing room bust-up, his marching
orders were followed by a 3-0 loss at West Brom, just
after 13 games in charge.
Oliver Kahn
A talented but angry German. The Bayern Munich
goalkeeper was given the nickname “Genghis Khan”
after he bit the neck of Borussia Dortmund’s striker
Heiko Herrlich during a Bundesliga title decider match
in 1999. Once in a press conference, when he was asked
what he thought Bayern lacked, his reply was: “Balls!
Balls! We need balls, if you know what I mean?”
