was a time that
when healthy foodwas
considered to be bland
and unimaginative. In an
ever-changingworld, this
is no longer the case. Raisin’ The Roof,
located at Bukit Damansara in Kuala
Lumpur, is offering creative vegetarian
and vegan food that is taking healthy food
to a new level.

All the toxins inmy body were screaming
in terror as I walked in the restaurant and
I was practically shoved in door bymy
friend. They knewwhat was coming and
they did not like it one bit.
The inside of the outlet was a very
simple space, uncluttered and cheerfully
lit. The gentleman behind the counter
gave awarmgreeting as wewalked in and
seated ourselves. Themenu here here
has a lot of choices, fromsalads towraps,
as well as a very interesting selection of
drinks.
Against his better judgement,
Reuben Miranda
is
convinced to try the healthy food that is served at Raisin’
The Roof and is pleasantly surprised to discover that
healthy can be tasty as well.

Delicious
I ordered a Jackfruit
Milkshake (jackfruit, cashew
nuts, almondmilk and agave) and she
asked for a Pink Pinether (pineapple,
dragonfruit, apple andmint). I found the
Jackfruit Milkshake to be a disappoint-
ment. The predominant flavour was that
of the almondmilk, which overshadowed
the flavour of the jackfruit. The Pink
Pinether was delicious though, and very
refreshing.
