The music of one of America’s best-loved composers is woven into a drama for two
actors - a newspaper boy and the great Gershwin himself - who share anecdotes
and observations about the composer’s life and work. Favourite Gershwin
compositions include Rhapsody in Blue, Fascinating Rhythm, Rialto Ripples, and some
of his immortal songs like The Man I Love and Summertime.

The 2017 instalment of Miri
Country Music Festival is go-
ing to be bigger and better! For the first time, MCMF’17 will be held for two days at
Parkcity Everly Hotel, Miri. Featuring some of the best lineups of country musicians
from all over the world, frequented by country music lovers from all walks of life,
MCMF’17 is definitely coming in with a loud BANG! A festival for both the young
and the old and country music lovers, activities at the festival include a bazaar
offering various stalls selling a wide variety of food, games and souvenir items.
After a successful inaugural event in 2014, the 2017 instalment of Miri Country
Music Festival is going to be bigger and better!

Powerman Duathlon Asia Championships - Malaysia
Feb 25 & 26, Parkcity Everly Hotel, Miri, Sarawak

Malaysia holds a long and strong history with this event since Powerman
was introduced in 2002, but the event came to an end in 2013. It was
brought back to Malaysia in 2016 and broke the Malaysia Book of Records
for the “Largest Participants of Duathlons Championship” in Malaysia.
This year, there will be two distance categories open for youth, elite and
team relay (two or three persons). There will also be the introduction of
Powerman Kids in Malaysia.
