Magical Musicals
April 7-9, Pentas 1, Kuala Lumpur Performing
Arts Centre, Kuala Lumpur

Music lovers, make a date with our orchestra as it
pays tribute to some of the most well-known and
well-loved musicals that have entertained audiences
around the world. From the dramatic and iconic
tunes of Les Misérables and The Phantom of the
Opera to the family-friendly soundtrack of Beauty
and the Beast, Magical Musicals promises to be a
smashing season opener for the KLPAC Orchestra.

Swan Lake And Winter Dreams
April 29-30, Dewan Filharmonik Petronas, Kuala Lumpur

Dmitri Kabalevsky’s dashing overture to his opera Colas Breugnon
opens the concert. Tchaikovsky’s beloved ballet score Swan Lake
is followed by his First Symphony - Winter Dreams - full of lyrical
melodies, youthful exuberance and masterly orchestration evoking
images of a wintry Russian landscape.

Megadeth Live In Malaysia
May 4, Stadium Negara, Kuala Lumpur

Megadeth brings their Dystopia world tour to Malaysia. Founded in 1983,
Megadeth virtually gave birth to a genre when their debut release became
recognised as the ‘Greatest Thrash Metal Debut Album of All Time’. Megadeth
won the Grammy Award for the ‘Best Metal Performance’ of 2017. With 49,000
units sold in its first week of release, Dystopia took the number three spot on
the Billboard Top 200 chart alongside Adele and Justin Bieber. It is the highest
charting album for the band since 1992’s Countdown to Extinction, which
peaked at number two on the chart. Dystopia was listed as one of the 20 Best
Metal Albums of 2016 by Rolling Stone magazine.
