1. The former royal residence in Kota Bharu,
Istana
Jahar
is now home to the Museum of Royal
Traditions and Customs of Kelantan, showcasing
a handsome array of beautiful keepsakes. Feast
your eyes on luxurious woodcarvings from
ancient times, photographs, artefacts, weaponry
and traditional crafts that depict Kelantan’s rich
heritage.

2. Get a personal insight on the lives of the late
royal family at
Istana Batu
a.k.a.
Istana Di-Raja
(Royal Museum). Built circa 1930, it was home
to the royal family before it was donated to the
state, making it open for public viewing. The
late Sultan’s personal collections, including his
hats, China, family photos andmore still remain.
