Who are your rolemodels?

After initially receiving negative feed-
back on my photos at an online forum,
I almost gave up on photography. Then
one day, I attended a seminar conducted
by Zung Thephotoz. I still remember how
touched I felt after seeing those special
moments captured on a screen.

My role models include Ali Artli, a
famous Indonesian commercial photogra-
pher who mentored me in my early days
and I got to learn the use of studio lighting
and techniques. David LaChapelle, for
his vibrant, edgy and pop surrealistic
type of photos; Annie Leibovitz, for the
extensive variety of portraiture work
she has accomplished in her lifetime,
especially being a female photographer
in the 1970’s; and American wedding
photographers such as Jose Villa and
Jasmine Star, for their engaging photos.
