ARTE Indonesia Arts Festival
An annual event in Jakarta that’s held
since 2013, ARTE Indonesian Arts Festival
presents art in various segments such
as Visual Arts, Performing Arts, Films
Festival, Culinary Arts and Art Market.
As a festival where the richness
of contemporary Indonesian art was
introduced, the festival is expected to
contribute further in giving support to
the emerging forms of collaboration and
the various art movements that will be
the pride of Indonesia. It aims to bring
art to the community and also form a
greater opportunity for artists to express
themselves and interact with art lovers.
Keeping the economic value of the
festival in mind, it is expected to increase
the excitement of entrepreneurship in
arts in Indonesia and encourage an
artistic lifestyle amongst Indonesians.
Vivid Sydney
The beautiful city of Sydney transforms
into a modern art canvas over a period
of three weeks with stunningly beautiful
art through three main segments – Vivid
Light, Vivid Music and Vivid Idea.
Vivid Light is the biggest showcase of
artistic lights through a series of profes-
sional artwork that lights up Sydney’s
main architecture and open spaces. This
includes the sails on the Sydney Opera
house, the harbour front shore, Walsh
Bay, Darling Harbour and the Inner West.
Vivid Music is a growing extension of
the festival with more than 80 shows of
musical performance ranging from pop
and blues to trance and a special live event
at the Sydney Opera House.
For those looking to gain insight and to
growwithin the arts industry, Vivid Ideas
offers a creative platform that helps culti-
vate the arts through a series of creative
ideas, public talks, seminars, workshops
and debates. A programme entitled Vivid
Ideas Exchange held at the Museum of
Contemporary Australia offers a place for
budding artists to network with some of
the most creative minds from around the
globe. The 2014 event may be over but the
2015 instalment is in progress.
