the heart of the mangrove forest where
monkeys play and chatter. Your arms may
be working but your mind will be serene,
and two-person kayaks are available to
make the going easy.
Nature
November to April is the best time to
holiday in Krabi, as during these months
the weather is a little cooler. Visitors can
choose to stay on the beach at Ao Nang
or in Krabi Town, the latter more of a laid
back experience, but wherever you stay,
there is much to enjoy in Krabi.
If nature is your thing, Krabi offers
not one but four national parks, all of
which offer different but equally splendid
natural experiences for visitors. Khao
Sok is a good spot for a day trip, with it’s
rainforest habitat home to a large variety
of wildlife, while Than Bokkhorani boasts
limestone cliffs, natural springs and a gang
of monkeys.
Island hopping
There is no shortage of stunning islands
to explore fromKrabi, with boat trips easy
to book and likely to cover a number of
different island stops as well as providing
lunch and snorkelling equipment. Tourists
tend to flock to Koh Phi Phi, a beautiful
island that has risen to international fame
by being the location for Hollywood’s
movie

accessible during the day for a fee.

are entitled to a visa on arrival, for
varying periods of time, including
Malaysian citizens for periods of
