attending to the customers needs in the best possible
way. Firefly’s Executive Commercial Sales, Naslinda
Nasbah, finds satisfaction in her job by achieving both
on a daily basis, with help fromher solid team.

What are your responsibilities as an
Executive Commercial Sales?
Commercial sales is all about sales
between business or from a business to a
customer. It oftens drive the profitability
of most organisations. It is my responsi-
bility to promote Firefly products to the
public and big corporations as well as
driving them to use Firefly to fly to their
preferred destination. Aside from that,
building good rapport with corporate
companies, government departments
and agents are also part of my job. I
assist in responding to all front-end and
customer feedback as well as managing
the service recovery in a timely manner. I
get involved in a lot of travel trades, fairs
and exhibitions.
Can you tell us a little more about your
background?
I was born in Alor Setar, Kedah and
was raised in Sabah, as my father
was attached with the government. I
graduated with a Bachelor of Tourism
Management, majoring in Transportation
from University Utara Malaysia, Kedah.
Since young, I loved flying with Malaysia
Airlines whenever our family travelled
back to our hometown. My interest in
being part of an airline teammaterialised
during this period.
What sort of skills and knowledge is
needed for your position?
There are several skills and knowledge
required to be a great salesperson and of
course it has to start with self interest,
along with good communication skills,
networking,leadership and business
acumen.
What were you doing prior to being
appointed as an Executive Commercial
Sales?
I was attached as an airline operation
team member with another carrier and
I was a part of the marketing team for a
hotel before that.
